Did you know? A group of alligators is called a Congregation.

Glenn Curtiss was an American inventor and aviation pioneer. He began by building motorcycle engines and set a world speed record before moving into aviation. He designed some of the first practical airplanes and helped advance early flight. Curtiss is best known for developing seaplanes and flying boats, aircraft that could take off and land on water. He continually improved engines and aircraft design and founded a major airplane manufacturing company that produced planes on a larger scale, including during World War I. He also contributed to the development of South Florida, including areas like Opa-locka and Hialeah, helping bring aviation and growth to the region.
